The short answer
A clear file at the intended print size is more useful than a large-looking preview. Confirm the background, placement and garment compatibility before approval.
Define the finished print size
Tell the team the width and height you want on the garment. A design for a small left-chest placement is different from a full-front design, and resizing can change the readability of fine text or lines.
For image-based artwork, check the quality at the actual print dimensions. Enlarging a small web image does not restore detail. Send the best original file available and ask GMB to review it if you are unsure.
Make the background intentional
If you do not want a rectangular background around the design, use artwork with a genuine transparent background. A white background that appears invisible on a white screen may still be part of the file.
Inspect the edges around letters and graphics. Unwanted pixels, accidental shadows and leftover background areas can become visible in the final design. Do not remove intentional white elements when cleaning up the background.
Check every detail before sending
Review spelling, names, numbers and logo proportions. Confirm that the artwork is yours to use or that you have permission from the owner. A screenshot of another brand's design is not an approval to reproduce it.
Provide color references when brand consistency matters. Monitor colors and printed colors are not always identical, so discuss expectations before production instead of assuming the preview is an exact physical match.
Transfers and decorated garments are different requests
Say whether you need transfers or a finished apparel project. For transfers, confirm application requirements and whether the intended fabric is suitable. For decorated apparel, GMB can review garment choices and placement as part of the quote.
If you need a time-sensitive order, ask the team to confirm artwork and production eligibility. A requested deadline is not an accepted production commitment, and preparing a file does not complete an order.
